Entry requirements

General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) or an equivalent qualification OR General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) pass in Six Subjects Including Sinhala, English, Mathematics and A foundation course equivalent to SLQF Level 2 (after a minimum of 12 years of schooling) together OR Completion of NVQF Level 4, or accredited work experience / accredited prior learning, followed by a cognitive bridging programme of at least 30 credits as determined by the Higher Education Institution (HEI) OR Completion of a recognized Certificate Course in Panchakarma (or an equivalent certificate course) accepted by the Ministry of Indigenous Medicine and the Department of Ayurveda OR Completion of the Diploma in Dhaham Sarasavi OR Other academic qualifications equivalent to Sri Lankan G.C.E. Advanced Level, as accepted by the Senate of the Institute.

Course Fee

The course fee is presently Rs. 93,000. This all-inclusive fee is charged to cover lectures, tutorials, and examinations, as well as access to computer laboratory facilities and the library.

The fees should be credited to, Account No 0207 1000 0760 of the Sampath Bank in favour of Nāgānanda International Institute for Buddhist Studies, at the Sampath Bank Makola Branch or any branch of Sampath Bank. Normally, fees paid will not be refunded. However, requests for refund of fees may be considered if made before the expiry of one week from the date of commencement of lectures for each semester.
